Winning pitcher Sam Bivens struck out three batters and PeopleBank of the South rallied past R.B. Wall Oil Supply 10-8 Tuesdaynight in Lincoln County Dixie Boys Baseball League action atExchange Club Park. The bankers exploded for 10, second-inning runsto secure the win.

In the other league game on American Legion Field, Paul Jackson& Sons Construction slipped past New York Life 8-7.

Two hits apiece by Josh Herring and Andrew Redd directed thebankers. Chase Buckles, Brady Wilson, Jeremy Burns and Givenssingled.

Christian Burgess was the losing pitcher.

At the plate, the Oilers were led by Austin West’s triple. CalebYarborough singled twice. Jordan Michel, Dylan Watts and BrettCalcote also hit safely.

Newt Riley fanned four batters in posting the mound victory. MylesTipton struck out three in a losing cause as the construction crewbroke loose for six, second-inning runs and an 8-7 lead.

Directing PJ’s win was John Paul Jackson with two singles. HeathHickman, Alex Smith, Connor Dorman and Riley also hit safely.

New York Life got singles from Zach Smith, Zane Crosby, Ben Stroudand Tipton. The insurance agents led 4-2 in the top of thesecond.
