Brookhaven police are searching for two suspects in a Wednesdayevening armed robbery on Monticello Street, said Chief PapHenderson.

Henderson said a man who was standing in the parking lot next toHot Shots Barber Shop on Monticello Street was approached by twoblack males who took his cash just before 5:30 p.m. onWednesday.

“They put a gun on him and robbed him,” Henderson said.

The two assailants then escaped on foot. The man was able toidentify one of the suspects, the chief said, though he is not incustody yet.

“We know who it is we’re looking for,” Henderson said.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are currently interviewingwitnesses.
