Funeral services for Denver Lee Anding, of Brookhaven, are 1p.m. on Friday, June 11, at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven,with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Friday from noon until the time of the service at thechurch.
Mr. Anding, 87, died June 9, 2010, at his residence. He was born inBrookhaven on Dec. 25, 1922, to Johnson Anding and Eunice CaseAnding.
He was retired from Marlin Drilling Co., and was a former aldermanfor the City of Brookhaven. He was a member of First Baptist Churchin Brookhaven.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, DallasAnding and Carlos Anding; and his sisters, Mavis Smith and YvoneBoyte.
Survivors are his wife, Esiz Lee Anding, of Brookhaven; his son,Othel Anding and wife Camille, of Etta; his daughter, Sue AndingCase and husband Clint, of Madison; his sister, Eva Nations, ofBrookhaven; his grandchildren, Eli Anding and wife Katie Anding, ofBirmingham, Ala., Tahya Dobbs and husband Dr. Kevin Dobbs, ofBrandon; Shaw Case and wife Roxanne Case, and Andy Case and wifeSharon Case, all of Madison; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Ministries ofBrookhaven, or the Building Fund at First Baptist Church inBrookhaven.
