Wesson, Franklin Co. roll in 8s North Subdistrict Six

In the Dixie Youth Baseball AA 8s Coach/Pitch North SubdistrictSix Tournament Thursday at Keystone Park, Natchez beat Hazlehurst18-11, Wesson walloped Copiah 26-0, and Franklin County cruised bythe Lincoln County Americans 11-3. Franklin County is the onlyunbeaten team left in the double-elimination tournament.

In action tonight, Natchez battles the Lincoln Americans at 6 p.m.In the nightcap, Franklin County takes on Wesson at 8. Both gameswill be played on the Bank of Brookhaven Field.

Natchez hitters were led by Bradrick Dean with two home runs. JackWhitehead also contributed with a homer and triple. The otherhitters were James Singleton, triple and double; Dylan Troxler, twodoubles; Jakel Barnes, single; Bankston Jordan, single.

Hazlehurst’s hitters were directed by Ryan Ramsey with two doublesand a single. The other hitters were Cole Eckhoff, double andsingle; Pryce Ainsworth, single; Conner Douglas, single; DevinDavis, double; Bennett Cliburn, triple.

Wesson 26, Copiah 0

Warren Kinchen led the way for the Wesson hitters with a home run,double, and a single. Zach Franklin also contributed with twotriples.

The other Wesson hitters were Parker Allen, three singles; AaronMooney, two singles; Kasch Utz, double and two singles; Ty Brewer,two singles; Jaiden Smith, two singles; Hunter King, double and twosingles; Tucker Stephens, three singles; Gavin Brister, twosingles; Brayden Taylor, double and single.

Copiah hitters were Hartman Marble Wright, two singles; ChrisWhittington, single; Bryce Prescott, single.

Franklin County 11, Americans 3

Gavin Burris lead the Franklin hitters with two doubles. The otherhitters were Triston Hayles, single; Ashton Arnold, single; GarrettSmith, two singles; Sam Cowart, two singles; Braiden Whitehead, twosingles; Jett Watts, three singles; Wyatt Martin, two singles;Wyatt Brumfield, single; Colby Guice, single; Trevor Boyler,single.

Corbin Falvey was the leader for the Americans with a triple. Theother hitters were Carson Rounsaville, single; Thorne Hutson,single; Reese Dehart, single; Cade Brown, single; Cole Smith,single; Colby Sasser, single.
