Justin Boone fanned 10 batters and walked three Tuesday night inpitching the Wesson All-Stars to a 3-0 shutout victory againstWalthall County in the second round of the Dixie Youth Baseball 12sMajor League North Subdistrict Six Tournament. Boone only allowedtwo hits.

In the other tournament game at Keystone Park, Lincoln County’sNationals eliminated the Lincoln County Americans 5-2.

The double-elimination tournament continues today as the Nationalsmeet Walthall at 6 p.m.

Wesson 3, Walthall 0

Jonah Henderson doubled as Wesson took a 1-0, first-inning lead.Mathew Burns, Tyler McLeod and Eric Rhymes singled.

Vashe Jefferson (4 K, 1 BB) was the losing pitcher.

Walthall got a double from Donovan Harness and a single from ColeReagan.

Nationals 5, Americans 2

 

Darrian Wilson fanned eight batters and walked four in pitching theNationals past the Americans. Ben Davis (3 K, 1 BB) was the losingpitcher.

Javion Beard doubled and singled as the Nationals broke a 2-2deadlock with a 3-run, fourth-inning rally. Hunter Sasser doubled.Riley Falvey singled twice. Lane Rogers, Cameron Smith and MixMiller singled.

The Americans got two singles from John Ethan Coleman. Steve Casesingled.
