Walthall County eliminated the Lincoln County Nationals 9-1Thursday on the Bank of Franklin Field located at Keystone Park.With the win, Walthall set up a rematch against Wesson in thechampionship game for the Dixie Youth Baseball Major League 12sNorth Subdistrict Six Tournament.

Game time is set for 6 p.m. If necessary a second game willfollow.

Wesson won the first game against Walthall 3-0 in last Tuesdaynight’s action. Tonight’s winner advances to the districtchampionship series against the South Subdistrict champion.

Donavon Harness led the way for Walthall with a strong pitchingperformance. Harness collected three strikeouts and didn’t allowany walks.

Levi Redd absorbed the loss for the Nationals with two strikeoutsand four walks to his credit.

Dylan Burch provided the offensive spark for Walthall with a homerun, a single, and a double. The other hitters were VasheJefferson, double; Donavon Harness, double; Scott Molaison, double;Cole Reagan, double; and T.J. Magee collected a single.

The Nationals were directed by Hunter Sasser and Austin Smith witha double apiece. Cameron Smith provided the other hit for theNationals, collecting a single.
