Funeral services for Johnny F. “Big John” Bennett, ofBrookhaven, are 3 p.m. on Monday, July 12, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service Chapel, with burial in Edwards Cemetery in LincolnCounty.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Bennett, 45, died July 9, 2010, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Magnolia, Texas, on April 16, 1965.

He was a truck driver. He was a member of Brookhaven Church of God,where he served as president of the men’s ministry. He was also anactive member of Loyd Star Volunteer Fire Department and the LoydStar School Band Boosters.

Preceding him in death were his fathers, Harold D. Kennedy and CarlBennett Sr.

Survivors are his wife, Vicky Bennett, of Brookhaven; his son,Jarred Bennett, of Brookhaven; his daughter, Kaylon Bennett, ofBrookhaven; his mother, Bonnie Sue Canoy, of Eupora; his brothers,Carl Bennett Jr., of Eupora, John E. Kennedy, of LaGrange, Ga., andKenny Kennedy, of Valley, Ala.; his sisters, Tera Kendrick, ofBrooklyn, Angela Cuttil and Carol Gravitt, both of Sullivan, Ill.,and Kari Pettus, of LaGrange; and numerous nieces andnephews.
