Funeral services for Bette Summers Moak, of Bogue Chitto, are 11a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, at Bethel Baptist Church in BogueChitto, with burial in Bethel Cemetery. The Revs. Jeff Davis, MikeMorris and Damon Williamson will officiate. Brookhaven Funeral Homeon Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home andWednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.

Mrs. Moak, 73, died July 18, 2010, at her residence. She was bornin Brookhaven on Oct. 24, 1936, to Herman Summers and Daisy WaldropSummers.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church,where she was a former Sunday School teacher of the adult women’sclass.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her grandsons, John CurtisDunaway and Zachary Dunaway; her sister, Katherine Norwood; and herbrothers, Billy Joe Summers and Donald Eugene Summers.

Survivors are her husband, Dennis Moak, of Bogue Chitto; her son,Michael Moak and wife, Becky, of Summit; her daughters, PamelaDunaway and husband, Curtis, and Kayla Alexander, all of BogueChitto; her grandchildren, Renee Elizabeth Howell and husband,Donelson, of Knoxville, Tenn., Bethany Denise Wright and husband,Lee, of Brookhaven, Ashley Stephens, of Summit, Madison Moak, ofSummit, Shawn Alexander, of South Carolina, and Karla Martin, ofBogue Chitto; her great-grandsons, Brayden Wright and Landon JacobWright, both of Brookhaven; and numerous nieces and nephews.
