Funeral services for Harold Frank Carter, of Brookhaven, are 10a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel, with burial in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery inBogue Chitto.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Carter, 66, died from complications of Parkinson’s disease andcancer on July 16, 2010, at Alvin C. York VA Hospital in Nashville,Tenn. He was born on July 21, 1943, to David F. Carter and MarjorieCase Carter.

He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and had his bachelor’sdegree from Mississippi State University. He was a member ofCentral Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force veteran,where he received an Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National DefenseService Medal and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.

Preceding him in death were his parents, David and Marjorie Carter;and his brother, Paul Thomas Carter.

Survivors are his son, Jonathan Carter; his daughters, Elizabeth(Beth) Marshburn and Amanda (Mandy) Carter, and their mother,Avanelle Carter; his brother, J. David Carter; and his grandchild,Kai Carter.
