Funeral services for Carrie Mae Bessonette, of Brookhaven, are11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service atthe funeral home.

Mrs. Bessonette, 67, died Aug. 20, 2010, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center in Brookhaven. She was born in New Orleans, La., onJune 7, 1943, to Wylie Everette Carden and ClydieMullins-Carden.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Union Hall BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Wylie and Clydie Carden;and her son, Terry Glenn Case.

Survivors are her husband, Wesley Bessonette; her son, Carlos ChadCase; her daughter, Tammy Jackson; her brothers, John Carden,Oliver Carden, William Carden and J.W. Carden; her sisters, RuthieThomas, Mary Nell Carden and Kitty Crummey; her grandchildren,Shayla Melton and Elizabeth Case; and her great-grandchildren,Austyn Melton, Kayleigh Schmitt and Kaughner Melton.
