Funeral services for Evelyn Jean Kimbro Smith, of Brookhaven,were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service Chapel, with burial in Riverwood MemorialPark.

Visitation was Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Smith, 84, died Aug. 23, 2010, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. She was born on Feb. 22, 1926, to Lucius Harmon Kimbroand Mary Ella Lee.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Union Hall Baptist Churchin Brookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Lucius and Mary EllaKimbro; her husband, Leslie Hugh Smith; her daughter, Beverly HughSmith, of Brookhaven; six sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors are her son, Wayne Smith and wife, Judy, of Brookhaven;her daughters, Terry Jones, of Brookhaven, and Donna Duda, ofRidgeland; her sisters, Roma Golden and Bertha Spillers, both ofNatchez; her grandchildren, Christy Rando and husband, Tony,Jeffrey Smith and wife, Melanie, Jessica Sanders and husband, Chad,Jody Jones and wife, Mindy, and Mandy Carpenter and husband, Ron;15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; andnumerous nieces and nephews.
