Lady Cats Triumphs over McComb

The Bogue Chitto Lady Bobcats rolled over the McComb Lady Tigers5-1 in Thursday night slowpitch action.
“We did a better job at the plate tonight,” said Bogue Chitto headcoach Scott Leggett. “We still need to come through with more hitswith runners in scoring position.”
The Lady Cats will participate in West Lincoln’s softballtournament on Saturday playing Brookhaven at 12:45, South Pike at4:30, and West Lincoln at 5:45 p.m. Bogue Chitto will travel toWesson for action on Monday. Junior varsity will start at 5 p.m.,followed by varsity at 6.

Kerri McGehee was the winning pitcher for the Cats with nostrikeouts and no walks.
Lauren Mabile absorbed the loss for the Lady Tigers collecting nostrikeouts and allowing two walks.
The Lady Cats (5-1) was led by Mattie Avants with three hits. JosiePorter also contributed a double and a single. Adrienne Wallaceprovided two singles. Hitting safely were Kaylie Crosby andMcGehee.
McComb received singles from Danielle Farnum, Leyton Terrell, KamryCreel, Victoria Price, Megan Coney and Mabile.
In JV action, Bogue Chitto slipped by McComb 5-3 with a greatpitching performance by Shelby Crosby (3K, 3 BB).
Heather Miller led the Lady Cats with two singles. Alana Nettles,Daley Roberts and Brooke Myers provided a single apiece.
