WESSON – The West Lincoln Lady Bears slipped by the Wesson LadyCobras 7-5 in Thursday night slowpitch softball action.

West Lincoln (5-5) will return to action Tuesday night hostingWesson. The junior varsity game begins at 5 p.m. followed byvarsity at 6 p.m.

Jessica Franklin collected the win for the Lady Bears providing onestrikeout and allowing no walks.

Jessica Delaney absorbed the loss for the Lady Cobras collectingfour strikeouts and three walks.

Karli Herrington provided the offensive spark for West Lincoln witha double and a single. Marisa Pruski and Katie Hester alsocontributed three singles apiece. Haley Ainsworth hit threesingles. Hitting safely were Alexis Cook, Katie Mullins, MicahRedd, Malori Hall, Heather Moak and Franklin.

Abbey Smith was the leading batter for the Lady Cobras with adouble and two singles. Summer Rials provided a triple. Hittingsafely were Macie McQuage, Christian Woods, Claire Whittington andDelaney.

In JV action, the Lady Bears cruised by Wesson 5-0. West Lincolnreceived singles from Brianna Fauver, Peyton Mullins, Alli Mullins,Peyton White, Hanna Moak, Millane Lewis and Allie Lofton.
