BC girls top McComb

McCOMB – The Bogue Chitto Lady Cats defeated the McComb LadyTigers 5-2 Saturday in a varsity game of slowpitch softballaction.
“Glad to get the win,” said BC head coach Scott Leggett. “Now wemust get ready for district next week.”
The Lady Cats (13-1) will travel to West Lincoln Tuesday for theirfirst district contest. Game time is set to start with the juniorvarsity at 5 p.m., followed by varsity at 6.

Kerri McGehee produced a strong pitching performance for BC,collecting one strikeout and two walks.
Leyton Terrell absorbed the loss for the Tigers with no strikeoutsand no walks.
Darcy Miller led the Cats’ offense with two singles. Hitting safelywere Mattie Avants, Adrienne Wallace, Josie Porter, Rheagan Welch,Bradi Davis, Toy Smith, Alexis Givens and Kaylie Crosby.
McComb was led by Danielle Farnum with a double. Desiree Mallory,Megan Coney, Breann Talbert, Raneka Felder and Kaylin Coney hit asingle apiece.
