Co-Lin officials dealing with water problem

Recent water problems at Copiah-Lincoln Community College havenot prevented classes from meeting, college officials said.

Director of Public Information Natalie Davis said a water linearound the Lincoln and Lawrence dormitories on the college’s Wessoncampus broke late Wednesday night.

The college’s maintenance crew and the Wesson Water Departmentcapped the line early Thursday morning, but the cap blew off, saidDavis.

“We had to shut off water to the majority of campus yesterday totry and get a cap on the problem,” Davis said Friday.

Water was finally restored to most of the campus, except theLincoln and Lawrence dormitories, late Thursday afternoon, shesaid.

Davis said water should be back online on the entire campus Monday,if not today.
