Dexter zaps West Lincoln

DEXTER – The speed of the Dexter Bulldogs thumped the WestLincoln Bears 48-6 Friday night in a Regional 4-1A contest. TheBulldogs are 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the region.
“Dexter has a very talented team,” said West Lincoln head coachChris Calcote. “Their players run like a deer.
“Overall we gave a good effort as a team, but we got outplayed. Weare currently short-handed on players due to some injuries and forsickness.”
Running back Deon Moore led the offense of West Lincoln, scoring ona 42-yard run. Overall, Moore rushed for a total of 105-yards on 19carries.
The Bears (0-5) were led defensively by Jeremy Laird with 12tackles.
West Lincoln returns home this Friday to host their county rival,the Bogue Chitto Bobcats, for a Region 4-1A contest. Kickoff is 7p.m. on Perry Miller Field.
