Funeral services for Dorothy Mae King Waldrop, of Metairie, La.,are 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, at Harrigill Funeral Home withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Harrigill Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m.until the time of the service. Both visitation services will beheld at the funeral home.

Mrs. Waldrop, 84, died Oct. 6, 2010, at her residence. She was bornin Ouachita, La., on Oct. 22, 1925, to T. Martin King and ElmaMontgomery.

She was retired from the laundry department at Charity Hospital inNew Orleans, La. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in NewOrleans.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Jack T. Waldrop;her brothers, James Thomas King, Aubrey Clinton King Sr., andCarleton W. Wert; and her sister, Lois Ethel Wert.

Survivors are her son, Billy Carl Waldrop, of McComb; herdaughters, Ann “Annie” Martin, of Metairie, Betty Brock, of Osyka,and Christine W. Muse, of Lafayette, La.; 11 grandchildren; and 19great-grandchildren.
