John Thomas ‘J.T.’ Hamilton

Funeral services for John Thomas “J.T.” Hamilton, of Wesson, are2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel onNatchez Drive, with burial in Wesson Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m.until the time of the service. Both visitation services will beheld at the funeral home.

Mr. Hamilton, 78, died Oct. 15, 2010, at his residence. He was bornin Arkansas on May 15, 1932, to Bertrand Hamilton and Willie AlmaAllen Hamilton.

He was the self-employed owner and operator of Hamilton’s TV &Appliances of Wesson for over 40 years. He was a member of WessonBaptist Church and an active member and past president of theWesson Lions Club. He was also a member of the American Legion andthe Wesson Volunteer Fire Department. He served in the U.S. AirForce during the Korean conflict.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Frances JaneCase Hamilton, of Loyd Star; and his brother, Hugh WilliamHamilton.

Survivors are his sons, John Mark Hamilton and Darrell Hamilton,both of Wesson; his daughter, Paula Dawn Berry, of Wesson; hisbrother, Bob Hamilton, of Kennewick, Wash.; his sisters, MaryHuxham, of Waterloo, Iowa, Eudie McMullin, of Jacksonville, Ark.,and Glenda Holland, of Tabb, Va.; his grandchildren, Greg andBrooke Ryan, Cherish Frost, and Adam, Joshua, and Laci Hamilton;and two great-grandchildren.
