Funeral services for Wayne Edward Hibbard, of Birmingham, Ala.,are 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel onNatchez Drive, with burial in Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery inLawrence County.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hibbard, 60, died Nov. 6, 2010, in Bogue Chitto. He was born inCovington, Ky., on July 17, 1950.
He was a retired terminal train master with Southern Railway. A20-year military veteran, he was a master sergeant of the UnitedStates Air Force, and served in Vietnam. He was Bluff master of theRiver Road Boys Bluff, one of the two original cooking cousins, andinventor/creator of the “Hibstix.” He was a member of RidgecrestBaptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his father, Edward Hibbard.
Survivors are his mother, Etta Faye Newsom Hibbard, of Brookhaven;and his sons, Evan and Aron Hibbard, of Birmingham.
Pallbearers are James Cothern, Don Cothern, Kenneth Cothern, CadePope, Evan Hibbard, Aron Hibbard, Mike J. Case and KeithMoak.
Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Wilson, George Keil, and PeterMorosky.
