James Roscoe Calhoun

Funeral services for James Roscoe Calhoun, of Brookhaven, are 10a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, at Hawkins Chapel United MethodistChurch in Brookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Calhoun, 70, died Nov. 6, 2010, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born in Mississippi on July 11, 1940.

He was retired from his work in the Chevron Oil Field. He was aveteran of the United States Army and served as a part of theEuropean Occupation Forces. He was a member of Hawkins ChapelUnited Methodist Church. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No.1968 and the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 2618.

Preceding him in death were his father, Madison Calhoun; and hismother and stepfather, Fred and Annie Ruth Hoggatt.

Survivors are his wife, Dimitria Calhoun; his son, Michael L.Calhoun and wife Jennifer; his brother, Jerry O. Calhoun; hisgrandchild, Alex Calhoun; his sister-in-law, Judy Smith; hisnephews, Jason Calhoun and Chris Calhoun; and his first cousins,Dale Linton and wife Ann, Paul Strait, Billy Strait, Marshall Smithand wife Libby, Jeanette Bounds and husband Dane, and Mona Cathyand husband Jimmy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hawkins ChapelU.M.C. Cemetery Fund.
