Funeral Services for Melvin Donald Kuhlmann, of Picayune, willbe held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Roseland ParkBaptist Church in Picayune, with burial in New Palestine Cemetery.The Revs. Jimmy Albritton, Dan Young and Walt Barnes willofficiate. McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 6 until 9 p.m.at the funeral home.

Mr. Kuhlman, 72, passed away on Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, in Houma,La.

A native of Brookhaven, he was an offshore mechanic with Shell OilCompany and a member of Roseland Park Baptist Church, where he wasa deacon and Sunday School teacher. He graduated from BrookhavenHigh School, where he excelled in basketball. Melvin will be sadlymissed by all who had the opportunity to know and share hisinfectious zest for life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leighton V. Kuhlmann andLucille Muckelrath Kuhlmann; one grandchild, Willie Don Whiddon;and one brother, Preston Lee Kuhlmann.

Survivors are his wife, Dianne Ryals Kuhlmann, of Picayune; hischildren, Cynthia Ann Ogden, Regina Kuhlmann, Teresa LynneKuhlmann, Scott Keith Kuhlmann and Jeffery Neal Kuhlmann and wifeJeanie; his grandchildren, Dani Andrews Avery, Bobby Lewis Andrews,Jonathan Michael Andrews, Zackary Scott Kuhlmann, Jennene LucilleKuhlmann, Tommy Lee Ogden, Leigh Ann Ogden, Caitlyn Marie Ogden andConner Mitchell Ogden; his great-grandchildren, Orchid AunjeliqueBerch, Tyra Lynne Whiddon and Michael Lilian Alford; his brothers,James Arthur Kuhlmann, Reginald Douglas Kuhlmann, Kenneth KerryKuhlmann; and his sister, Eulema Lucille Green.
