Lady Cobras defeat Dexter girls

WESSON – Sophomore Elsie Miller pumped in a game-high 13 pointsand grabbed 10 rebounds as the Wesson Lady Cobras crushed theDexter Lady Bulldogs 56-34 Saturday night.
Due to Dexter’s football team still in the playoffs the boys gamewas cancelled.
Wesson returns to action after the Thanksgiving Holidays on Monday,Nov. 29 as they participate in the Hillcrest Tournament.

Wesson had two other players to score in double figures as juniorMadison Rials contributed 12 points, plus 3 rebounds, and 4assists. Mak Rials provided 10 points and 7 steals.
“We have got to learn to play all four quarters and not just twoquarters,” said Wesson coach Rusti Magee. “Overall, I am proud thatwe are steadily improving each game.”
De Harvey was the leading scorer for the Lady Bulldogs with 11points. Taylor Gamble netted 10 points.
In junior high action, the Lady Bulldogs walloped Wesson 37-18.Hamorya Harvey pumped in 17 points to lead Dexter. The Lady Cobrashad two players to score 4 points apiece: Sharmetra Themes andSarah Beth Miller.
In boys action, the Cobras cruised to a 50-31 victory over Dexter.Farrod Green netted 12 points to lead Wesson. Peyton Hoodcontributed 10 points.
Jermaine Pittman was the leading scorer for the Bulldogs with 11points.
