Bears maul Dexter

The West Lincoln Lady Bears (6-4) cruised to a 51-29 victoryover the Dexter Lady Bulldogs Saturday night in Jack CaseGymnasium.

In the boys’ action, the Bears (10-0) overpowered Dexter80-58.

In the earlier games, the Bogue Chitto Lady Cats crushed Salem67-23. In the boys’ game, The Bobcats edged the Wildcats 56-55.

West Lincoln 51, Dexter 29

Senior forward Katie Mullins pumped in a game-high 14 points tolead the Lady Bears. Marisa Pruski provided 12 points.

“We were able to mix it up and get everyone some playing time,”said West Lincoln coach Lane Young.

Taylor Gamble was the top scorer for the Lady Bulldogs with 17points.

West Lincoln 80, Dexter 58

Senior guard Jay Case had a career night as he shot out thelights with 33 points to lead the Bears. He also grabbed 5 reboundsand 5 steals. Jared Case contributed 13 points and 10 assists. DePrice added 11 points and crashed the boards collecting 8rebounds.

“We attacked on offensive,” said Young. “We executed really goodon our half-court defense and we rebounded the ball really well.Dexter is a very talented and athletic team.”

Tyler Hart was the leading scorer for the Bulldogs with 11points. Dante Butler chipped in with 10 points.
