Funeral services for Doris W. Smith, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.on Friday, Dec. 10, at Calvary Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, withburial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on NatchezDrive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.Visitation will continue on Friday from 8 until 11 a.m. at thefuneral home, and at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of theservice.

Mrs. Smith, 83, died Dec. 7, 2010, at her residence. She was bornin Franklin County on March 23, 1927, to David Wright and NettieSmith Wright.

She was a retired phone operator and a member of Calvary BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Evan Smith;her brothers, Thomas Jefferson (TJ) Wright, Whitfield (Bud) Wrightand Vernon (Gator) Wright.

Survivors are her brother, Kenneth Wright of Spring Valley, Calif.;and a host of nieces and nephews.
