Bogue Chitto sweeps Enterprise

BOGUE CHITTO – The Bogue Chitto Lady Cats came out focused ondefending their Lincoln County Round-Robin Tournament title as theycruised to a 65-22 victory over the Enterprise Lady Yellow JacketsThursday night in R.L “Bob” Calhoun Gymnasium.

In the boys’ game, the Bobcats were energized as they put on ashow for the home crowd and walloped the Jackets 69-53.

The Round-Robin resumes today as Loyd Star battles Enterprise inthe early games, starting at 4 and 5:30 p.m.

In the nightcap, West Lincoln tangles with Bogue Chitto as thegirls game starting at 7 p.m. followed by the boys.

Bogue Chitto 65, Enterprise 22

Senior guard Aneshia Dillon pumped in a game-high 19 points tolead the Lady Cats (9-1). She also grabbed 5 rebounds, made 5steals and 3 assist.

“The girls came out focused and ready to play,” said BC coachChristi Terrell. “I am very proud of my girls effort, bothoffensively and defensively.”

Senior guard Karla Beth Hux was the top scorer for the LadyJackets (5-9) with 8 points and snatched down 5 rebounds.

“We did a better job slowing down the ball in half-court, buttheir press really hurt us,” said Enterprise coach JillNations.

Nations saw her team trailing 37-15 at halftime.

Bogue Chitto 69, Enterprise 53

Dennis Rogers showcased his talents for the Bobcats (7-3) as hescored 15 points to lead all scorers. Javier Gee provided 13points. Emmanuel Magee netted 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.

Guard Thomas Allen pumped in a game-high 22 points to leadEnterprise (1-11). Teammate Sam Furr contributed a double-doublefor the Jackets with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

“Bogue Chitto played a good game,” said Enterprise coach JohnKnight. “My guys will have to keep working hard and will have tolearn to play all four quarters.”

Knight’s crew was down 36-22 at halftime.
