Funeral services for Joe William Butler, of Wesson, were 11 a.m.on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Strong Hope Baptist Church in Wesson,with burial in Thompson Chapel Cemetery in Copiah County. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Monday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Butler, 65, died Dec. 11, 2010, at his residence. He was bornin Mississippi on Sept. 25, 1945.

He was the owner of Custom Seed Processors in Wesson, and a memberof Strong Hope Baptist Church. He was a member of the MississippiNational Guard. He was a graduate of Mississippi StateUniversity.

His father, Wiley J. Butler, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Mitchell Butler; hisson, William Brian Butler; his daughters, Jennifer Butler Conwayand husband Benjamin, and Carrie Butler Boyd and fiancée DustyWalker; his brother, David Rae Butler; his sister, Janice ButlerStricklin; his grandchildren, Vance William Conway and BlairMitchell Boyd; his mother, Laura Rae Armstrong Butler; and a numberof nieces and nephews.
