Funeral services for Joseph M. Benson, of Brookhaven, were heldat 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at the Episcopal Church of theRedeemer in Brookhaven, with burial in Easthaven Cemetery inBrookhaven. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation was Wednesday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at CannonHall at the church.

Mr. Benson, 85, died Dec. 18, 2010, at his residence. He wasborn in Adrian, Minn., on June 11, 1925, to Joseph O. Benson andLillian Wemple Benson.

He was parts and service manager with General Motors. He was amember of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Chris Benson;and his daughter, Terri Lynn Benson.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Benson of Brookhaven; hisdaughter, Susan Marie Benson of Brookhaven; and his brother, RogerL. Benson of Sioux City, Iowa.
