Funeral services for Augustine Ballard Burch, of Brookhaven,were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Brookhaven FuneralHome Chapel on North Jackson Street, with burial in RosehillCemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation was Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until thetime of the service.

Mrs. Burch, 92, died Dec. 28, 2010, at her residence. She was bornin Eddiceton on July 22, 1918, to A.M. Ballard and Iris GriffingBallard.

She was a receptionist with Dr. Stribling, and a volunteer atKing’s Daughters Medical Center and prison ministries. She was amember of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven and was a Sundayschool member there, as well. She was a poet, with published booksof poetry.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, BurnellBurch; an infant daughter; and six siblings.

Survivors are her son, Ronny Burch of Vicksburg; her daughter,Vicky Swalm of Brookhaven; four grandchildren and fivegreat-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Ministries orBaptist Children’s Village.
