Funeral services for Mike Malone, 62, of Natchez, who diedTuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital, after avaliant battle with cancer, will be Friday, Dec. 31, at 10:30 a.m.,from the Vidalia Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Clyde RayWebber and Father Louis Sklar officiating. Burial will follow atthe Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird FuneralHome.

Visitation is Thursday, Dec. 30, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the VidaliaPresbyterian Church.

Mike was born April 20, 1948, in McComb, the son of Francis LeoMalone and Alma Lee Allen Malone. He attended Vidalia PresbyterianChurch, was past president of the Natchez Civitan Club, and was amember of the board of directors of the Salvation Army. Mikeretired after 30 years in the banking industry, having worked atBritton & Koontz Bank for 25 years and for United MississippiBank for five years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, PatMalone.

Survivors include his wife, Claudia W. Malone of Natchez; twodaughters, Alicia Rankin Hughes and husband Keith of Little Rock,Ark., and Amy Rankin Byrne and husband Patrick of St. Louis, Mo.;four grandchildren, Lucie Hughes, Henry Hughes, Beatrice Byrne andFrancis Byrne; one goddaughter, Brooke Sullivan of Natchez; twobrothers, Mitch Malone of Meridian, and Mark Malone of Brookhaven;and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Will Heirtzler, Jake Heirtzler, Andrew Malone, JeffThompson, Luke Janette, Joel Misita, Phillip Zuccaro and JimmyWhitehead.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the VidaliaPresbyterian Church.
