Funeral services for Floyd “Bill” Freeman, of Meadville, are 2p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel, withburial in Midway Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 10 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Friday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mr. Freeman, 84, died on Feb. 1, 2011, at Hardy Wilson MemorialHospital in Hazlehurst. He was born in Franklin County on Jan. 1,1927, to Kinner Freeman and Minnie Carlock Freeman.

He was a retired farmer and veteran of the United States Army. Hewas a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Nettie F.Britt; and his brother, Kinner Freeman Jr.

Survivors are his brother, Lloyd Freeman of Meadville; his sisters,Nellie Freeman of Meadville, and Etta Applewhite and husband,Junior, of Brookhaven; his nephew, Tony Applewhite of Brookhaven;and his great-nephew, Jared Kinner Applewhite of Brookhaven.
