Funeral services for Ray E. Mason, 78, of Natchez, were held at10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at First Baptist Church inNatchez, with Bro. Steve Ellis officiating. Interment will followat Paul Cemetery in Monterey, La., under the direction of Young’sFuneral Home, of Vidalia, La.

Mr. Mason was born on Dec. 5, 1932, in Monticello, to Blanche andEd Mason. He passed away on Monday Feb. 7, 2011 in Natchez.

Mr. Mason was a resident of Natchez and retired from Armstrong Tireand Rubber Co. He was a member of the First Baptist Church ofNatchez and proudly served his country during the Korean War as asoldier in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ben,Bobby, and Gene Mason; and one sister Nola Ferguson.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carla Mason of Natchez;three daughters, Sara Wedding of Ridgeland, Gina Mason and SandraMason, both of the Mississippi Gulf Coast; three brothers, DennisMason of Sontag, Buster Mason of Indiana, and Joylee Mason ofSontag; and one sister, Ann Bankston Vicksburg.
