Funeral services for Mabel Buckels Bone, of Palm Harbor, Fla.,will be held at noon on Friday, Feb. 11, at Brookhaven Funeral HomeChapel on Natchez Drive, with burial in New Salem Baptist ChurchCemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation was Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service atthe funeral home.

Mrs. Bone, 93, died Feb. 3, 2011, at Manor Care Nursing Home inPalm Harbor. She was born in McCall Creek on Feb. 11, 1917, toAlbert Buckels and Hattie Gerbish Buckels.

She was a nurse, and a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Cecil M.Bone; her brothers, Albert, Charles, Decatur and Ray; and hersisters, Versie, Amanda and Stella.

Survivors are her son, Norman N. Bone of Oldsmar, Fla.; herbrother, Roy Buckels and wife Mary; her grandson, Robert Bone ofLouisiana; her grandson, Norman N. Bone Jr., wife Alea andgreat-grandson, Nate, of Portland, Ore.; her grandson, Mark Bone,wife Robin and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Benjamin, ofMetairie, La.; her sister-in-law, Theda Buckels Kirkland of McCallCreek; and her friends, Nancy and Bob Carmen, and Pat Folkes, ofOldsmar, Fla.
