Oh, what a beautiful day it was in Tulsa, Okla., with thestreets and highways covered deeply with snow. On Feb. 5, 2011, EvaNell Butcher passed away with her family by her side.

Nell, 69, was born in Brookhaven on March 2, 1941, to Henry andEvelyn Boling Chandler. She was a graduate of Bogue Chitto HighSchool.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, RobertChandler, Alvie Chandler, Lamar Chandler and Earl Chandler.

Nell is survived by her daughters, Pam DeLao and husband Randy, andRenee Whittington, all of Tulsa. She is also survived by fourgrandchildren, Charles Edward Bacon Jr., Randi Kaye DeLao, CaleBacon and Jesse DeLao, all of Tulsa.

Nell is also survived by three sisters, Claire Bell Allen andhusband Troy, Elizabeth Foster and husband Roger, and MargueriteFerrell and husband Bobby, all of Brookhaven.

A memorial service for Nell is planned for a later date.
