Donis Marie Burnaman Thompson, 76, died Feb. 10, 2011, at SelectSpecialty Hospital in Jackson. Funeral services and burial were atGalilee Baptist Church in Hazlehurst.

She was born on July 6, 1933. She was a beauty operator for 57years in Hazlehurst.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert W. and EvelynBurnaman; her son, Robert Tollie “Bobby” Thompson; two brothers,Robert W. Burnaman Jr. and Charles Burnaman; and a half sister,Bonnie Govan.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, T.O. Thompson Jr.; twosisters, Fredna “Freddie” Britt and husband Billy, and Stella Pettyand husband Doug; two brothers, Phillip David and wife Jan PatrickBurnaman; four nephews, Robby Britt and wife Tammy, Landon Brittand wife Teresa, Jeff Howington and Mike Howington; four nieces,Stephanie Britt Allen and husband Kirk, Donna Howington Cook,Samantha Burnaman Rawling and Nicole Burnaman; eight great-nephewsand five great-nieces; and a host of wonderful friends andneighbors.

Community Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
