BOGUE CHITTO – The Bogue Chitto Bobcats secured their secondstraight Region 4-1A Powerlifting championship in R.L. “Bob”Calhoun Gymnasium. Coach Chad Norton’s Bobcats scored 63 points,beating Sebastopol’s 27 and Vicksburg St. Al’s 19.

Taking first place for the Bobcats were Buck Lewis, 308-poundclass; Keith Arnold, 275; Jermaine Blackwell, 220; ColtonMcClendon, 165; and Devin McEwin, 148.

Lewis, a senior; set meet records in the squat (450), deadlift(550), posting a total of 1270 for three lifts. Arnold, a senior;had a deadlift record of 505. McClendon, a junior; set records insquat (430), deadlift (455) and total 1090, tying the bench recordat 205.

Coach Norton said he was grateful to everyone who helped make themeet a success.
