Funeral services for Quitman Burns, of Wesson, are 3 p.m. onWednesday, Feb. 23, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive,with burial in Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Burns, 89, died Feb. 20, 2011, at Franklin County MemorialHospital in Meadville. He was born on June 25, 1921, to Connie L.”Bill” Burns and Rebecca Smith Burns.

He was a veteran of World War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his loving wife of 66years, Ruby Nell Britt Burns; his son, Tony Quitman Burns; hisbrothers, Marvin Burns, C.L. Burns and Robert Leroy Burns; and hissisters, Vivian Burns Pickett and Carolee Burns Ingram.

Survivors are his son, Willie Burns and wife Myra, of Wesson; hisnine grandchildren, Bobby Burns, Roger Burns, Jerry Burns, TeresaBurns Calloway, Tracy Burns Robbins, Tammy Burns Barlow, SusieBurns Gandenberger, Jody Burns and Ashley Burns; and his 16great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Bobby Burns, Roger Burns, Jerry Burns, Cody Burns,Jody Burns, Keith Calloway, Brian Barlow and Tony Robbins.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Burns, Peyton Burns, ColbyCalloway, Bryce Langley, Cole Gandenberger, Jack Landon Burns andBryant Parker Robbins.
