Funeral services for Joanna W. Wilbert, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, at Avery Chapel AME Church inBrookhaven, with burial in Watkins Memorial Chapel Cemetery inBrookhaven. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Wilbert, 81, died Feb. 21, 2011, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. She was born in Copiah County onApril 24, 1929, to J.D. Watkins and Bessie Hall Watkins.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Horace A.Wilbert; and her brothers, Roy Watkins, J.D. Watkins and Willie B.Watkins.

Survivors are her sons, Horace Wilbert Jr. of Vidalia, La., ReubenG. Wilbert (Martha) of Brookhaven, and the Rev. Timothy J. Wilbert(Marion) of Grand Prairie, Texas; her daughters, Doris Jefferson(Raymond) of Hammond, La., and Iris Lloyd, Rachel Daniels (George),and Marilyn Wilbert, all of Brookhaven; her brothers, W.C. Watkinsof Carson, Calif., Johnny Watkins and Samuel Watkins, both ofSpringfield, Mass., and Earnest Watkins of Yadon, Penn.; hersisters, Mamie B. Chatman of Natchez, Katherine Johnson ofBrookhaven, Vella Crisler of Crystal Springs, and Alberta Watkinsof Yadon; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and threegreat-great-grandchildren.
