Nancy LaVelle White went to be with the Lord her God and withher deceased husband, Archie White Jr., who was the love of herlife for almost 59 years. She is the last of her generation on bothsides of the family. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Mrs. White, 86, of Brookhaven, are 3:30 p.m.on Sunday, March 13, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on NorthJackson Street with burial in Easthaven Cemetery inBrookhaven.

She died March 10, 2011, at Countrybrook Living Center inBrookhaven, where she had been a resident since July 2007. She wasborn in Lincoln County on March 21, 1924, to William Cario Lawrenceand Mae Retta Albritton Lawrence.

She had been a saleswoman for Morgan & Lindsey and was retiredfrom Murphy’s 5 & Dime.

Preceding her in death was her husband; and her parents.

Survivors are her sons, Dennis Dale White and wife, Linda, of BogueChitto, and Roger Lynn White and wife, Frances, of Hope Mills,N.C.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and severalnieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
