Funeral services for Lydia Dianne Case, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. on Saturday, March 26, at Oak Grove Methodist Church inFranklin County, with burial in the church cemetery. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.

Ms. Case, 48, died March 24, 2011, at her residence. She was bornon Oct. 15, 1962 to Delton Case and Hilda Myers McManus.

She was a graduate of Mississippi State University. She was aparasitologist and well-known microbiologist. She attended severalother universities and held several professional degrees. An avidsports fan, she played softball, loved watching basketball andgoing to NASCAR races. She loved music and played several musicalinstruments. She was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Troy and Lottie Myersof Meadville; and grandmother Nettie Case, of Brookhaven.

Survivors are her parents; her niece, Danae’ Beach; her nephew,Drue Beach; her sister, Lajaun Case; a special friend, TanyaVerucchi; her aunts, Nancy Burris, Willie Templet, Bernice Walkerand Donis Tullos; and her uncle, Emerson Case; and many cousins andfriends.
