Funeral services for James Houston “J Hugh” Jacks Sr., ofWesson, are 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service Chapel, with burial in Wesson City Cemetery.
Mr. Jacks, 72, died April 9, 2011, at his residence. He was born inBrookhaven on Nov. 8, 1938, to Charles Buford Jacks and Emma JaneWallace Jacks.
He was a retired salesman for Altria. He was a member of theBaptist faith. He was a member of the American Quarter HorseAssociation (AQHA) and also the Dixie Regional Team PinningAssociation (DRTPA).
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Glen Jacks;and two sisters, Louise Jacks Meagher and Charlene JacksBedford.
Survivors are his wife Laney Maurice Pannell Jacks; his son, JamesHouston “Buster” Jacks Jr., and wife, Lynda, of Houston, Texas; hisdaughter, Deborah Marie Jacks Bell, of Houston; his sister, DollyBolian, of Houston, Texas; his four grandchildren, Dusty Bell andwife, Nichole, Amanda Bell, Alex Jacks and Abby Jacks; his threegreat-grandchildren, Houston Bell, Grayson Bell and Braelyn Bell;and his brother-in-law, James P. Meagher of Pensacola, Fla.
