Truitt Brown, 89, of Brookhaven, went home to be with his Lordand Savior early on April 17, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brown;his sisters, Louise Laird, Nell Bonds, and Maxine Kelly; hisbrothers, Troy Brown, Ira Brown, Talmadge Brown and GeorgeBrown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Earnestine QuinnBrown; daughters, and sons-in-laws, Dr. David and Pamela Savell ofLebanon, Tenn., and David and Brenda Bokanyi of Pensacola, Fla; hisbrother Robert Brown; his grandchildren, Alan Savell, M.D., TruittSavell, D.D.S., M.D., and Shannon Kane; and hisgreat-grandchildren, Truitt David Savell, Riley Savell, AshleyKane, Sarah Beth Savell and Kendall Kane.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 19, from noon until 2 p.m. atRiverwood Family Funeral Service, with services immediatelyfollowing at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Chapel. Interment was at RiverwoodMemorial Park.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers a memorial be made to theBrookhaven First Baptist Church endowment fund.
