Funeral services for Ines May Leonard, of Bogue Chitto, are 2p.m. on Saturday, April 23, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on NatchezDrive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church. There willalso be a visitation Saturday at the church from 1 until 2p.m.

Mrs. Leonard, 86, died April 20, 2011, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Franklin County on April18, 1925, to George and Emma Huffman Ezell.

She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Familyand friends say she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother andgreat-grandmother. To know her was to love her. She was a veryspecial lady who always put others first. All who knew her willsorely miss her.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J.B. Leonard,who died Aug. 12, 2010; her grandchild, Katy Barras; her sister,Lottie Ezell; and her brother, Leon Ezell.

Survivors are her son, Freddie Leonard and his wife, Kathy, ofBogue Chitto; her daughters, Frances Prather and husband, Stan, ofClinton; Ruby Kahl and husband, Harold, of Purvis; and Rita Fritzand husband, James, of Clinton; her grandchildren Christy Barras,Heather Bonds, Heath Leonard, Chris Prather, Stephen Prather,Shannon Fielder, Jonathan Kahl, Stacey Bodkins, Stephanie Lowe andBen Fritz; 17 great-grandchildren; nephews Floyd Ezell, Roy Ezelland Troy Ezell and his wife, Opal.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church SoundSystem Fund and Mississippi Baptist Children’s Village.
