Funeral services for Gilda Faye Thornhill, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. on Saturday, May 14, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood.

Mrs. Thornhill, 75, died May 12, 2011, at her residence. She had along struggle but won the battle and is at rest with her heavenlyfather. She was born on March 21, 1936, to Thomas Woodrow Albrittonand Martha Louise Case.

She was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of WessonUnited Pentecostal Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Jesse F.Waldrop and Claude Thornhill; a son, Joseph H. Waldrop; and agreat-granddaughter, Ally P. Waldrop.

Survivors are her sons, Jeff Waldrop and wife, Beth, Jesse Waldropand wife, Jeanie, of Brookhaven; David Waldrop and wife, Cindy, ofClinton; Claude E. Thornhill and wife, Jennifer, of Mt. Olive;Jonas Thornhill of Ocean Springs; and Claude H. Thornhill, Jr. ofBiloxi; her daughters, Judy Griffin and her husband, Mike, ofBrookhaven; Martha Lea and husband, Hurston, of Brookhaven; LauraHitchner and husband, Kevin, of Goldsboro, N.C.; Claudette Mooreand husband, Martin, of Brookhaven; and a daughter-in-law, KarenBrooks of Brookhaven; her brothers, Thomas Albritton and wife,Inga, of Idaho; and Edward Albritton of California; her sister,Joan Case and husband, Aubrey, of Brookhaven; 24 grandchildren; and17 great-grandchildren.
