Mary Lou Spiess Boyd, 64, of Brookhaven, died Wednesday, May 11,2011, at her residence. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., onFriday, at Jayess Baptist Church in Jayess. Burial was in thechurch cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home of Monticello was in charge ofarrangements.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Walter William Spiess andEthel Marie Givens Spiess; one brother, Huey P. Rowells; and onespecial niece Becky Powell.

Survivors are her husband, Mike R. Boyd of Brookhaven; twodaughters, Tabatha Marie Boyd of Atlanta, and Jennifer LouiseWalker and her husband, Greg, of Brookhaven; one sister JackiePowell of Jayess; and two grandchildren, Jakob Walker and StoneyWalker of Brookhaven.

Pallbearers were Gene Day, Roger Easley, Danny Cothern, JakobWalker, Greg Walker and Joe Lambert.

Honorary pallbearers were Stoney Walker, June Cothern, JoshuaCothern and Tray Roberson.
