Funeral services for Robert Earl Lawrence,of Monticello, are 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, at MonticelloBaptist Church. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.

    Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church.

    Mr. Lawrence, 75, died July 2, 2011, at his residence. He was bornin Mississippi on Jan. 27, 1936, to Rufus Lawrence and Irene ReadyLawrence.

    He was retired from Texas Instruments. He was a member ofMonticello Baptist Church and a United States Air Force and Navyveteran of the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the MasonicLodge No. 610 and the Wahabi Shriners, of Jackson.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, CaryLawrence and Carl Lawrence; and his daughter, Kelly Johnson.

    Survivors are his wife, Catherine A. Nelson Lawrence; his son, MikeLawrence; his daughters, Julie Dadey and Casey Hamm; his stepsons,Dennie Smith, Mickey Smith and Phillip Smith; his brother, KennethLawrence; his half-brothers, James Lawrence and Charles Lawrence;his half-sisters, Helen Burrell and Patricia Burrell; and manyloving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces andnephews.

    Memorials or gifts may be made to the Gideons, the American HeartAssociation or St. Luke Home and Hospice Ministries.
