Carlos Lloyd Nations, 74 of Brookhaven,died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at King’s Daughters Medical Center inBrookhaven. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday,Aug. 25, at Fair River Baptist Church in Brookhaven. Burial will bein the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive isin charge of arrangements.

    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 5 until 9 p.m.and on Thursday, Aug. 25, from 9 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.Visitation will continue at the church from 1 p.m. until the timeof the service.

    Mr. Nations was one of the original founders of Brookhaven Academy.He was also an avid golfer and hunter. He loved to take hisgrandchildren fishing.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos “Blick” and LexieSartin Nations; and sister, Shirley Ruth Langston.

    He is survived by his wife, Janice Nations, of Brookhaven; his son,Jay and wife, Jill Nations, of Brookhaven; his daughter, KathyNations and Mike Thornhill, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Jana,Carlee and Jerrod Nations, all of Brookhaven; his brother-in-law,Glyn Langston, of Pearl; his sister-in-law, Janette and husband,Charles Cox, of Bossier City, La., and Martha Jackson, ofLaurel.
