Services for Mildred Brown Wallace, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Sunday, Sept. 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive withburial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Mrs. Wallace, 90, died Sept. 9, 2011, at Silver Cross Nursing Home.She was born on April 14, 1921, in Norfield to Perl Everett Brownand Lena Sasser Brown.

She was a retired seamstress from Stahl Urban and a member ofPleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was organist and pianist for50 years and church treasurer for 20 years. She was a graduate ofBogue Chitto High School.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Chester ObierWallace; four brothers, Benton Brown and wife, Elsie, Lebron Brownand wife, Ann, Garland Brown and wife Corinee, and Bobby Brown andwife, Merle.

Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces andgreat-nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to her care giverfor seven years, Mrs. Rose Hux.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Hill BaptistChurch Cemetery Fund.

Pallbearers will be Joe Brown, Perry Brown, Phil Parvin, JohnRutter, Gene Sills and Scotty Brown.
