Funeral services for Helen Lewis Scott, of Meadville, are 2 p.m.on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, withburial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Scott, 84, died Sept. 26, 2011, at Franklin County MemorialHospital. She was born in Franklin County on Oct. 12, 1926, toHollis H. Lewis and Susie Lee Laird Lewis.

She was the owner and operator of Scott’s Grocery and a member ofPleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John R. Scott;son, George Edwin Scott; and brother, T.C. Lewis.

Survivors are her sons, John W. Scott and wife, Jan, of thePleasant Valley community, and William E. “Bill” Scott and wife,Kay, of Meadville; daughter, Pam Pachmayr and husband, Bill, ofColumbia; sisters, Julia Lee Roberts, of Escatawpa, and EdnaHester, of Monroe, La.; six grandchildren; and sevengreat-grandchildren.
