Funeral services for James Newsome, of Summit, are 11 a.m. onThursday, Sept. 29, at Bethany M.B. Church, with burial in thechurch cemetery. The Rev. Waldo Lilly will be officiating. R.E.Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Newsome, 78, died Sept. 22, 2011, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Lawrence Countyon Oct. 30, 1932.
