Funeral services for Harold F. Smith Sr.,of Wesson, were 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, at Brookhaven FuneralHome, with burial in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.

    Mr. Smith, 87, died Oct. 8, 2011, at Hardy Wilson MemorialHospital. He was born in Hazlehurst on May 3, 1924, to LutherKnight Smith and Lillian Atwood Smith Ford.

    He was a photographer, grocery store owner and funeral director,and served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a member ofFirst United Methodist Church in Hazlehurst.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Sudia “Sue” Smith;two brothers; and one sister.

    Survivors are his son, Harold F. Smith and wife, Joy, ofBrookhaven; two grandchildren, Jason Smith and wife, Lacie, andChris “Cookie” Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Karley Smith,Dawson Smith, and Kinsley Smith.
